About five or six months ago, I set out to do something I have never ever dreamt of doing. I decided that I was going to run the London Marathon, which will finally take place this Sunday, April 13th. Looking back on many winter training sessions, spoilt Sundays and plenty of minor injuries, I find it has all been very much worth the while. If nothing else, I have shed a few Kilos and feel fitter than I did for a long time before. I will run this marathon for a charity called “Sense” (http://www.sense.org.uk/). Sense is the UK’s largest organisation supporting deaf-blind children and adults. Sense have specialised trained staff who help deafbilnd children learn to communicate, interpret their world and grow up to live as independently as their means allow. Sensse will further continue to support those individuals as adults throughtout their lives. With your money, Sense on the one hand run houses in the community for those requiring more intensive care, and on the other hand train and employ communicator-guides, who offer vital support to those challenged living in their own homes. Beyond the basics, Sense also provide opportunities to learn skills and in some cases even build a career, supporting both the individuals and their families. So please help me raise plenty of cash for this worthy cause and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sense - National Deafblind and Rubella Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Wolfgang
