SR MARATHON UPDATE: It was with great regret that I had to pull out of this years London Marathon due to a torn calf muscle I sustained the week before the race. I DO HOWEVER INTEND TO RUN A MARATHON LATER THIS YEAR!!!!! I do hope that you will all continue to sponsor me and help me hit that magic target of £10,000. No money will be taken until I have completed this task so PLEASE bear with me. If you no longer wish for your sponsorship to count, please let me know and I will arrange to have it taken off. I will update you all as soon as I know a date and venue for my next attempt. You can be assured that I will not be going skiing or any other crazy activity before hand!!!!! Many thanks Steve ORIGINAL MESSAGE: As you now know, I have decided that I will once again run in the Flora London Marathon in order to raise money for Naomi House Children’s Hospice.
Most people think, at the age of 45 and having done it once before, that I am completely mad. However, if you take the time to look at the Naomi House website www.naomihouse.org.uk you will see that my madness is founded on a passion to raise a huge amount of money for a very, very good cause. Please take the time to look at the website. It will tell you about Naomi House and the fantastic work it does not only for the children they care for but also their families.
Both CDD and Naomi House are celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary and I therefore have a minimum target of £10,000 PLUS! The first £1000 is guaranteed by CDD. I need you to help me raise AT LEAST the remaining £9,000. In 2005, thanks to your generosity, I raised a staggering £24,000. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could get close to this target again.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Naomi House Children’s Hospice (Wessex Children's Hospice Trust) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
