Now then, thank you for visiting my fundraising page on t'internet.
The Leeds 10k Jane Tomlinson's 'Run For All' is a 10k road race around the lovely city of Leeds that was first held in 2007. And I am going to run it for the first time this year.
It'll be my third 10k race, but my first since 2005. Since then, my running shoes didn't see the outdoors again until January this year. To say that I've lost some fitness since my last race would be a massive understatement, which is why this race is going to be a really big challenge for me. Unlike previous race, I'm actually putting some training in and getting out at least three times each week. It's hard but it'll be worth it!
I'm not just running to get fit - I'm running to raise funds for the RFL Benevolent Fund, which aims to support players whose lives are affected by serious injuries sustained while playing rugby league. Although such injuries are thankfully rare, I hope you'll agree that this is a very worthy cause.
Please donate what you can. Even small donations are massively appreciated. This site makes it simple, fast and secure. If you pay tax in the UK, make sure you tick the gift aid box so that an extra 28% is added by Mr A. Darling of 11 Downing Street.
Many thanks for your support.
